Service Description
My Restorative Yoga sessions offer gentle yoga practices to soothe the body’s nervous system and support transition to a relaxed, restful state that promotes healing. You can join us in person by booking via this event page; or you can book the Online class from the main bookings page. This class is ideal for anyone who could do with reducing the impact of stress on their body, mind and spirit. It is designed to support you to access yoga in the best way for you, by giving you lots of different options to choose from. I ensure cues are offered for those people who experience chronic fatigue and other health challenges. This is a gentle mat class, though seated/chair options can be offered for most stretches in the first part of the class. The chair can also be used to assist you on/off the floor if needed. At the end of class, we enjoy guided a Seasonal Yoga Nidra - deep relaxation connecting us to the cycles of nature around us, perfect for allowing your body and mind to fully unwind. For Nidra in the studio, ideally, I suggest you lie on the floor. If this is a challenge for you, you can still join us on a chair. Or perhaps consider the online option so that you can access a bed/sofa/comfy chair at home. If you come in person, equipment will be provided, though you may wish to bring an extra yoga mat and/or a cushion. In colder weather, make sure you layer up with warm clothes, as you will be lying still for much of the class! If you're at home, you need a mat, a few pillows (or a bolster), and a blanket.
